The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has built and today commissioned the Maisandari Alamderi Model Nursery & Primary School in Maiduguri, Borno State, the Scene of Countless Boko Haram attacks.
CSR Company of the Year Awarded to The Nigerian Stock Exchange
The NSE was the recipient of the “CSR Company of the Year Award” at the Commerce & Industry Awards 2017 organised by Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The School, Maisandari Alamderi Model Nursery & Primary School, Abuja Talakawa District Maiduguri, Borno State was commissioned today the 18th of October 2017 at 10:ooAM with the CEO Nigerian Stock Exchange Mr Oscar Onyeama Present comprises two blocks of nine classrooms that will accommodate 330 students and an administrative block, housing the staff room, sick bay, security room and restrooms.
It was the Initiative of the Nigerian Stock Exchange with the support of Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS), Oando, MTN, AXA Mansard insurance and the Bridge.
According to statement from the NSE, the school will be managed by Bridge International Academies, a renowned global educational firm that specializes in providing robust technology driven education system to low income households in developing economies.
Mr. Oscar Onyema, Chief Executive Officer, NSE, noted that the Exchange is committed to providing quality education and improving the financial literacy of the communities it serves. “Education is one of the key foundational elements to building a peaceful and sustainable society.
